Two members had notified Mr Slettom that they would not be able to attend the meeting: Jim Hawman and Irene Oliver-Lewis. Councilor Miguel Silva gave some welcoming remarks. Those present introduced themselves and gave a history of their involvement in the downtown revitalization process. Emily Coss announced that she was representing Irene Oliver-Lewis. The committee decided to fill vacancies by an amendment to the Resolution that replaces the North Mesquite Organization(which doesn't exist) with the Las Cruces Housing Authority Emily Coss indicated she will submit an application to represent the Alameda Depot Neighborhood Association. Mike White volunteered to lobby Las Cruces Public Schools for an applicant. Audrey Evins, City Comptroller gave a summary of the TIDD fund and there was a short Q&A on TIDD It was reported that the TIDD fund is growing and is being used to pay back a loan of$1M from the General Fund to support the Main Street project underway right now Diana Lyons was elected Chair Clark Myers was elected Vice-Chair Discussion of goals for the committee centered around the "themes" described in the 1994 RUDAT report. They are Housing, Parking, History and Culture, Economics, Zoning& Codes, and Transportation. A more lengthy discussion of housing ended the meeting. The meeting ended at 6 pm.
