The Club hoped to obtain additional funds from Sears Roebuck for next year so that their plan for landscaping the grounds say be continued. Mr. Taylor reported that when the city remcved the old dirt and replaced it with new that the curbing had been removed around the yard at 122 W. Hadley. This left the sidewalk leading to the offices rented by Dr. Drake a hazard as there is quite a drop down to the regular sidewalk. Mr. Taylor then made the following motion: - that the Library Board contact the City Manager asking that the sidewalk leading to the offices rented by Doctor Drake be removed and replaced, as this sidewalk is on a high elevation and hazardous to passers-by with the recent removal of curbixgby the city. Mrs. Roach seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mr. Taylor discussed the poor condition of the water lines on the property at 122 W. Hadley, which should be replaced. The Board authorized Yr. Taylor to find out the cost of replacing said lines, and if it proved to be an emergency to have it attended to at once. As there was no further business, the meeting adjourned.
