DRC PRESENT: Robert Kyle, Community Development Mark Dubbin, Fire Department Rocio Dominguez, Engineering Services -CD Meei Montoya, Utilities Tom Murphy, MVMPO STAFF PRESENT: Sara Gonzales, Community Development Becky Baum, Recording Secretary, RC Creations, LLC I. CALL TO ORDER (9:02 a.m.) Kyle: All right I'm going to go ahead and call this meeting of the DRC to order. Today is May 24th and it's about 9:02 a.m. II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - March 28, 2017 Kyle: First item on the agenda is approval of minutes from the May 17th DRC meeting. Are there any corrections to those minutes to note? Seeing none, I'd entertain a motion to approve. Montoya: Motion to approve. Murphy: Second. Kyle: It's been moved and seconded. All those in favor please signify by saying "aye." MOTION PASSES UNANIMOUSLY. Kyle: Any opposed? Seeing none. The minutes of May 17th are approved. III. NEW BUSINESS 1. Case 71231: Telshor Foothills Subdivision No. 2 • A request for approval of a non -administrative replat known as Telshor Foothills Subdivision No. 2. • The proposed subdivision will be subdividing Lot 1 of Telshor Foothills Subdivision into two new commercial lots. 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 70 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 • The proposed subdivision encompasses 1.96 +/- acres, is zoned C-3 (Commercial High Intensity) and is located on the east side of Telshor Blvd., 248 +/- feet north of its intersection with Foothills Rd.; a.k.a. 601 S. Telshor Blvd. • Submitted by Brock & Bustillos Inc., surveyor/representative. Kyle: Our only item of business today is Case 71231: Telshor Foothills Subdivision No. 2. Staff can you brief us. Gonzales: This is for a non -administrative replat for the Telshor Foothills Subdivision, was the original plat. This will be replat No. 2. The subdivision is going from one lot to two lots. They are proposing commercial development. The property encompasses 1.96 acres. It is C-3, commercial high intensity, and it is located on the east side of Telshor Boulevard about 248 or so feet from Foothills Road, north of its intersection. And that's about it. The applicant is not here today however there were no concerns or comments made by the applicant additional to the review. Kyle: Okay. And just for trivia, this is the site of the old Golden Corral restaurant. Utilities, any concerns? Montoya: We have no issues. Kyle: Mesilla Valley MPO. Murphy: No issues. Kyle: Las Cruces Fire Department. Dubbin: No issues. Kyle: Engineering and Technical Services. Dominguez: We have no issues with the development. Kyle: All right. The plat's completely clean, ready to go. Gonzales: Yes, everything has been approved based on the subdivision plat. Kyle: All right. Seeing no outstanding issues or concerns from any of the reviewing parties, I would entertain a motion to recommend approval for this proposal. Dominguez: So moved.
