PRESENTATIONS AND REPORTS Executive Directors Report — Phil San Filippo — Handed out a report on ticket sales of the Country Music Festival. Ticket sales are doing extremely well this year as opposed to prior years, this is due to the strong social media campaign. This year's VIP party will be much better, more of a party than a reception, we have five bands coming in to play on that night instead of entertainers coming in to play an acoustic set. Other changes in the City, Phil has been asked to be Interim Director of the Economic Development for the City of Las Cruces. This department will have seven groups to be overseen, Economic Development, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Airport, Grant Writing, Downtown, Land and Lease Development and Sustainability. They will be hiring a director for this department within time, as for now Phil will be interim possibly announced by next board meeting. Jennifer Bales will be interim director for CVB. Sponsorships are not doing to well with the Country Music Festival, may be due to the issue with the Rio Grande Theater or maybe due to the business community feeling a little nervous of what will be happening to the economy. We are down dollar wise and previous sponsors are not re -sponsoring. Sales Report — Jennifer Bales - Occupancy for December was 51.7% which is down 10.7% from last year first time ever have seen a double-digit number. ADR is 69.11 %, which is down 1.6%, and RevPar is 35.75% which is down 12.2.5%. Christmas on the Plaza did very well, had close to 2,000 people that attended in December. Phil stated there will be a new website beginning of February and a new App launched in March, will be similar to the Visit El Paso App has good features. First year festival will be totally wireless and people will be able to take pictures and we can put them up on screens. Jen showed the merchandise to the Board for this year's Country Music Festival. NEW BUSINESS We have received two applications for sponsorships one is for the NMSU basketball team for a summer camp for children they are asking for $2,500 dollars. Other one is a cultural event the Mariachi Festival, and are asking for $6,000 with the hopes they will be held at the Plaza. Vince Vaccaro made a motion to accept both sponsorship applications.
