CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS A Special Selection Advisory Committee Meeting was held on Friday,June 15, 2007, at City Hall, 200 N. Church Street, Las Cruces,New Mexico. Call Meeting to Order. Mr. Denmark called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. 2. Approve minutes of April 12, 2007. MOTION: Mr.Kyle moved and Mr. Kemmer seconded to approve the minutes as presented. Ms. Zahler asked for a few minutes to review the minutes, because she had just received them at this meeting. After a few minutes,Mr.Denmark called for a vote on the motion. All ayes. Motion passed unanimously. SELECTION ADVISORY COVTEE MEETING APPROVED 6-28-07 OF THE CITY OF LAS CRUCES JUNE 15,2007 3. Evaluate RFP 06-07-253 Animal Shelter. The user group gave their introductory comments and concerns regarding the proposals that were submitted. After a discussion involving references that weren't submitted and addenda that were not acknowledged, Ms. Davis asked the committee to rate the firms accordingly. The total scores less the high and the low scores were: Dona Ana County Humane Society 3080 Humane Society of Southern New Mexico 2685 Ten percent of the top-ranked score was 308. Subtracting 308 from 3080 is 2772. Firms falling above the score of 2772 were considered. There was only one firm that fell within these limits, and that firm was Dona Ana County Humane Society. Even though the Humane Society of Southern New Mexico did not fall within the top-ranked score of 2772, both firms will be interviewed,because there were less than three firms that submitted a proposal. Mr. Williams took the lead to compile a list of questions for the interviews. He will forward these questions to the Purchasing Department by Tuesday,June 19. The SAC will then have copies of the questions prior to the interviews. Interviews will be held on June 28,2007 from 1:30 p.m.—4:00 p.m. The location is tentatively set at the Joint Utilities Building, Conference Room 213. 4. Other Items of Interest. The next SAC meeting will be held on June 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 200 N. Church. 5. Adjourn. MOTION: Mr. Kyle moved and Ms. Zahler seconded to adjourn.
