Multi -year pet licensing: 33 A. Model ordinance from PetData.com was discussed, whereby veterinarians 34 are required to share their rabies vaccination information with the licensing 35 agency, thus in turn creating opportunity to notify the pet owner of the pet 36 licensing requirement. Discussion was also had to include vet on the 37 board and look to allow for them to do the licensing on the shelter's behalf 38 and allow the vets to keep a portion of the license fee if they provide the 39 service on the shelter's behalf. 40 2. Dangerous Animals: Discussion was held about the process. Need to hold 41 over this item to allow for input from the shelter staff. 42 3. Other items: Add discussion on socialization pilot program for dogs to help 43 reduce the percentage of dogs returned to the shelter. Marylou Ward — will make outreach to all the veterinarians in town to see about interest in having a representative on the task force.
