06-26-2001 m%ly 0 Fourth of July Committee Notes June 26,2001 Present: Joe Martinez, Eldon Cherry, Richard Parra, Mario Medina, Bill Baird, Curtis Rosemond, Kevin Wise- Pepsi Cola and a staff person, Joel Cano-LCPD, Robert Caldwell-CLC Public Liaison Officer, and Barbara Lopez-CLC Recording Secretary Parade Eldon stated that he has received 22 entries. Beverage Non-profit groups have been set-up to sell Pepsi products. All RV's will be set-up on the asphalt near the VIP tent. Curtis will coordinate with Kevin(Pepsi) on times and will meet at the loading site. Rob and Curtis will coordinate with Finance and Police departments to guard trailer while money is being counted. Street Festival Roof, forklifts and generators will be brought in on Monday. Sisbarro will need three adaptors from Joe. Rick Nezzer needs to be contacted to schedule pick up of cars and given a time to meet at Apodaca Park. White Sands Missile Range will provide the Color Guard for the parade. Vendors Vendor applications will be taken in late, all the way up through Monday, July 2"a A City employee, Richard or Mario will distribute ice and collect money. Marketing/Advertising All entertainers have been signed. There will be a fly-over of the American Flag at 10:00 a.m. on July 4'. Drivers will be needed on the evening of the 3`a and also on the 5a'to transport entertainers to hotels and to and from the El Paso Airport. There will not be any food served in the VIP tent on July 3`a, only beverage. Curtis to meet with Barb to work on food menu and delivery times. Radio stations will provide announcers.
