02-13-1997PH Dst6DISTRICT #6 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING SUNRISE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL February 13, 1997, 7:00 P.M. MINUTES I. The meeting was called to order by Councilor Haltom at 7:05 p.m. He explained what the funds could be used for. II. Introductions were made. Others present were Davey Salas of the City Planning Staff and Shirley Daniels, CDBG Committee member from District 6. There were approximately 35 people from District 6 in attendance. III. The floor was opened and members of the audience voiced their concerns on what they felt the funds should be used for. Among them were: a. Central Street b. Other Streets c. Sewage System d. Gas Hookups (Funded last year) e. Flood Control f. Signal /Street Lights g. TRESCO Facilities h. Youth Activity Centers /Park on East Mesa i. Elevator for Branigan Cultural Center j. Curbside Recycling k. Child Abuse Prevention IV. Councilor Haltom was asked how he planned to vote on the Casto Proposal and he gave an emphatic "No." The audience was asked to vote. The vote was unanimously against the proposal. V. The meeting was adjourned. � T .
